In the 24 years I have been on this Earth, it is only recently that I
am introduced to these MLM's. Thanks God no one tried to recruit me
when I was younger and not yet married because I might have fallen
for it. ( Alone a I am kinda a sucker.. I trust everyone. Thank God
for my husband who is a complete opposite of me, and has been fooled
by 2 or 3 MLM's in his 30 years on this Earth.) Well after my cousin
and I got into it about Zija International, (after I did the research
when my husband told me to) and I told her about what is out there as
far as scams and schemes, she thought that "i thought she was stupid,
for joining the "business"" Again i just let her know about the
Federal Trade Commisions reports and various websites about MLM
schemes. We don't talk anymore because she took it to a personal
level, saying "you think you are smarter than everyone, but you
didn't really do the research because Zija gives to charity blah blah
blah" Yes, I was actually affected by that comment, but strong
enough and smart enough to just let her go. Well anyway I joined
this forum after doing all the MLM research and finding a link to
it. I have to say "The Five Red Flags" was really interesting to me
because everything that it says about MLM's and their recruits was
exactly what my cousin was into, and it stated exactly the mindset of
these people.
Well i guess you can call it ironic because Yesterday, my business
partner in our Personal Training Business said to me over the phone,"
I need to buy some more Usana vitamins" I said "you are not planning
on selling them and being a distibutor are you?" (Because of being
in this forum and the MLM research USANA was all over the place as a
scam. She told me that these two brothers that we went to college
with were distributors and have been trying to get her to do it to.
I said "I am not trying to be a hater, but this is a scam." We have
been friends for quite a long time. I said "I don't think you are
stupid for using the products they might really be effective, but
just don't be a distributor, and also you can find the products on
ebay for way cheaper." I told her about the mlm-thetruth.
this forum. I was so rushed to tell her why she shouldn't join, i
kinda got an adrenaline rush from it. I am pretty sure I have
convinced her not to be a distributor , but she is coming over
tomorrow and I am going to give her the 5 Red Flags article that I
highlithed.
Man, I think I have been BRAINWASHED to think ALL MLM's are bad! :*)
