Possible points and issues with these answers:
>
> * It's not a pyramid scheme because you can develop a group that
> gives you more income than your upline.
This doesn't make it a non-pyramid and could essentially make you the
top of a pyramid.
> * Besides, most corporations have a pyramid-type hierarchy. Our
> company is no different, except that our reps are independent.
This doesn't answer the, "Is it a pyramid?" question, it merely
redirects you to something else.
> * If you watched the Dateline show, that only involved one or two
> groups. Our group doesn't operate like that.
What group are they in? What groups was the Dateline show about? If
you're not like them, how come there is so much of an emphasis on tools
and conventions as they said there would be on Dateline?
> * All those web sites that are critical of our business are either
> run by people who couldn't make it in the business (bitter), never
> did the work necessary to become successful (lazy) or never did the
> business at all (ignorant).
Are you saying that your group is perfect and that everyone succeeds
unless they are lazy? Are you saying nobody is upset with your group
for a legitimate reason? Have you read these websites? How do you
know that is true without having read them and just hearing by word of
mouth?
> * Some of our products are priced higher than average; others lower
> than average. But once you've developed a group with good volume
> going through it, you'll be getting your products for a significantly
> lower price, through your rebates - 25% at the Platinum level.
Could you show me paperwork to prove this? Do you have the business
only part of your tax return to show me that you are making a profit?
If I invest in any "regular" company, all they want is money and they
provide me with a lot of paperwork to prove what their income and
profit is. You want my time, which is a much larger investment. You
make these big claims, so how can you prove them? I don't want word of
mouth, I want black and white. Big claims require big evidence.
> * Your upline WANTS you to succeed. Why would they not want you to
> succeed? They only make money when YOU make money.
But your CDs cost me or you $7.50 and it only costs 50 cents to produce
them. How do they NOT make money on that when the markup is 1,500%?
They're not making money? How can such good business people not make
money with a 1,500% markup? Doesn't that show they are making money on
me spending and not on me earning?
> * We do not hide the fact that higher pins make money from the sale
> of tools or speaking at functions. We've never done that.
How much money do they make?
On this one do numbers. For example, I checked and to get a coliseum
that seats about 11,500 people for a weekend is about $25,000 and
someone here pointed out insurance would be about $5,000. That's the
big cost since the downline drones are eager to do all the work since
they think it is an honor to be a lackey. Advertising is free to them
since it's done through their network, including voicemail and email,
which their downline pays for with monthly fees. That means the cost
for a weekend for a group of 12,000 or fewer is about $30,000. Yes
coliseums are expensive, but it is relative. If there are 6,000 people
attending at $100 each, then the income is $600,000. If you don't
believe me, multiply it out yourself. Then take away the $30,000 and
you'll see the profit is well over half a million, or $570,000.
Start thinking like this. Whenever anyone says they don't make money or
only make a little on something, your brain should do this kind of work
automatically. That should happen when the salesman says they're
giving you the car for wholesale. It should happen when you're
dickering over *ANY* price and you can do your homework. If you're
dealing with MLMs, then train your brain to do this work. Find out
what the cost is and DO THE MATH. That's not just an expression. Then
ask them, "How can good business people NOT make a high profit with so
much money floating around?"
> * No matter what level you achieve in this business, you'll make
> some great friends along the way. And they'll be solid friendships,
> because you will all know that you are working toward your dreams.
> It's inspirational.
What happens to those who leave? You said websites were done by lazy
people or losers. If the friends are so solid, will they stay by me if
I can't make it or have to drop out? How many friends do you have now
that aren't in this group? How many friends did you stop seeing when
you got involved in this group? How many family members do you not see
anymore because you're in this and they're not? If this is a family
based business, how can you avoid family just because of a
disagreement? If you can have a liberal like Maria Shriver married to
a conservative like Arnold Schwarznegger, isn't there room for family
members to be close even if they disagree? Or is the focus more on
what you call success than family?
> * This is a Christian-based business. How could it be wrong?
While this isn't one that fits as pure logic, the Spanish Inquisition
was a Christian based activity. So were the Crusades and so were the
expeditions that would kill half a tribe to convert the other half.
More accurately: Many people claim to be Christians, but what the proof
is in their deeds. Do they act like Jesus? Do they try to be humble?
Do the leaders speak more about doing good than they actually do?
