[MLM Survivors Club] Yet another Herbalife survivor

Hi, everyone. I came across this group yesterday and knew I needed to
join. Yes, I'm an Herbalife survivor. I signed on to their 'Success
Builder' program six months ago -- 'Supervisor' level seemed to be
too big of an investment at the time, and I'm glad I didn't sign on
at that level! -- and spent some time pushing the product, but
quickly realized that, instead of slowly but surely building the
residual income I wanted, I was only going to fall further and
further into a financial hole, so I dropped out. Herbalife's Refund
and Repurchase Department is giving me the runaround now about
returning my unsold product; we'll see how that plays out.

I had my first big clue that something was wrong when I told both my
sponsor and her sponsor that I wanted to start slow, at the Success
Builder level, and they (especially her sponsor, who came off as a
real pushy blankety-blank) kept telling me that I wasn't going to go
anywhere in the business unless I moved up to Supervisor level, right
away. After looking at their distributor business plan, I realized
that in order to succeed, I'd have to work upwards of 70-80 hours per
week, and even then I wouldn't necessarily reap a profit of any sort
anytime soon. Sorry, but I work to live, not live to work, especially
if the latter option has very little chance of success. Besides,
living to work is a good way to guarantee yourself an early grave.

I look forward to corresponding with fellow MLM survivors in this
forum.
