I don't have any good news for you - I know someone who has been
chasing the dream for almost 20 years. At one point, they were close
to becoming an Emerald, then it all began to crumble.... now they're
scrambling to qualify at Platinum. They have no retirement or pension
fund; no health or life insurance...
of miles to attend a function several states away this weekend.
If "believing" (a la "The Secret") actually worked, these folks would
be millionaires - they "bleed LOC". They've done everything their
AMO told them to - and they still can't succeed.
You are right - it IS a train wreck. And there's nothing you can do
to stop it.
