Krissy,
I know the two businesses can be confusing; I joined both.
LTD (Leadership Development Team)is the tools business. They sell CEP
(Cd of the Week program $42 a month for 5 cds total), and I was
pressured to join immediately "to be a success". Then they sneak the
office program on you ( $17.95 a month that suddenly shows up).
Of course they sell the classic motivation books, and the functions
such as Free Enterprise Day (big function this month in Des Moines,
Iowa or Greensboro, NC) for $100- $125 to attend the rally, plus hotel
costs which you can book through their website and the hotels gives
them a cut of those $ale$ as well.
LTD is the "Christian organization.
Raleigh, and he's the classic neo conservative who hates liberals (I'm
a gay liberal) which also exposed the cult to me.
The tools business holds the open meetings, and they want you to dress
in suits and dresses. I wouldn't think how you dress would matter so
much if it really is a home based business, but the tools (LTD for
example) wants to pretend it's still 1957 church.
Quixtar does have affiliation with Barnes & Noble, Shop.com, etc. You
go through the Quixtar website, click on partner stores, and select
the store. You are redirected to the store's website, enter your IBO
number, and shop at the partner store. You get BV (business volume)
for spending $XX, but you don't get PV (point volume). The percent
bracket for your bonus check depends on the PV (points).
The whole PV/ BV thing is confusing at first. To make it simple, the
kingpins with a lot of PV gets the highest bonuses off the backs of
the desperate little 100PVers, plus the extra Q-12 bonuses. The
kingpins get the real money, most people are the 100 PVers who get $7
checks from spending $250-300 a month on Quixtar products. Not much of
a rebate program for the LITTLE guy hence most people quit in a few
months.
Hope this helps,
Alan L.
