Okay, so you got your dig in about math. I can't tell from your post
what it is you want - help, sympathy, a pat on the back?
Until you understand what causes a person to get involved in an MLM,
you'll never have much of an effect on anyone who is involved. I
commend you for backing away from your relationship, since it is
likely that she will place Nikken over you, anyway. With most (if not
all) of her family involved, you're right to be doubtful about it.
You're not going to trump family.
Finally, it's not about the math. Many people can do high-level
mathematics and get caught up in an MLM. There's much more to
avoiding MLMs than being able to do basic math. It takes knowing how
pyramid schemes work and how the abuse of distributors happens. It
takes knowing how the successful distributors achieved their status
and whether or not it was legitimate.
If it was easy to spot a scam, they'd all be illegal. Apparently,
they're not so easy to spot as you'd like to believe, since
Amway,/Quixtar, Nikken, Market America and others are all operating
legally, still.
