Janine,
My original question was:
"Has anyone heard anything about "The Limu Company." It sells one of those
health drinks made from seaweed and that looks like orange juice and is called
"Original Limu". I am not planning on joining anything. I just want to know
what the real truth is about it. I am so sick of people trying to con me."
You said,
"I don't know why people really need to ask."
My name is James and I had a very good reason for asking my question. I am not familiar with the person
you "grouped" me with who asked about the "tianshi", but please understand that I do not ask my questions
without a good reason. There are a lot "trollers" who occasionally come through asking questions looking to
stir things up, or cast doubt in the minds of MLM Survivors hoping to shut them up, or even to recruit people.
There are also people like me who have a very good reasons for asking about a particular product. I had
already looked online about Limu, but found only the MLM sites with everyone praising "Original Limu". If
you will please look at the text I wrote you will see I was asking about the company and product and wanting
to know if anyone had any background on it.
I have only been in one MLM which was Quixtar, and will never join one again, but I wanted to get any first hand
facts I could find on the "Limu Company". I am a Christian and for a very short period I was deceived by Quixtar,
but like many people I had joined for three reasons. First was the fact that someone else claiming to be a Christian
had invited me, so I trusted them. (If you were a native New Yorker and met someone who was a big fan of the
Yankees, you might feel a bit of a connection and be willing to trust them just a bit more than with someone you had
nothing in common with.) The second reason was that I was desperate to fine income I could make working from
home to pay my wife's huge medical bills. The third was to help others in my situation.
Since 1990 I have been praying for my wife's healing and looking for a place to find something to help her. The
doctors do nothing except take our money and write prescriptions, mostly for junk that does not help. I had one
other MLM company selling "Xango Juice" who ask me to join, claiming that "Xango Juice" had cured other people
like my wife. I insisted on trying the product first, so sent me a free bottle. After reading the instructions
carefully
and the information online about it, my wife and I tried this supposedly "miracle cure all" product. It was a tasty
fruit juice and nothing more, but even the few ounces she tried had an adverse effect on my wife.
I now hear of a new product made from seaweed called "Original Limu" which is supposed to help the immune
system and healing. I CHECK EVERYTHING OUT TO A EXTREME DEGREE FOR TWO REASONS!
First I want to know if it is possibly something which might help my wife. Second, if it is something harmful, I
want to do my best to get the word out to stop it.
In my opinion, Quixtar is a cult of very deceived, mostly good-hearted people, being manipulated by a few
big evil money makers at the very top, thus Quixtar has earned a place on my list of companies to stop.
The "Xango Juice" which their MLM sells for $30 or $40 bottle is nothing but Mangostene juice which can
be purchased at your local Sam's club for about $6 to $8 a bottle.
As I stated in my original email,
"I am not planning on joining anything. I just want to know what the real truth is about it."
If you had watched you spouse suffer for the last 17 years as I have, I am sure you would be asking everyone
every question you could to help them. When I was 8 my father got MS and suffered terribly and died by the time
I was 12. I watched my mom do everything possible for 4 years to find a cure or something to help.
I am now in a similar situation, except we have no money like my parents did because I am self-employed which
means paying $1500 premiums for individual health insurance which I now have no way of earning because I must
stay at home to care for my wife.
You said,
"I don't know why people really need to ask."
I hope I have clarified why I need to ask. I do not know what the other person you grouped me with was
asking, but by grouping us together seemed to imply we were both too lazy to look for ourselves, or had some
other agenda for asking. I probably have a similar mindset as you about MLM's.
"All MLM's I have ever heard of are bad."
There may be a few out there that have a use, but I have not found any. What they may have
however is a product I could find out about which would help my wife. On June 10, 2007 we will celebrate
our 30th wedding anniversary and I hope to celebrate 30+ more years with her and will do anything I can,
short of offending God, to help her.
I am not angry with you, but the next time you see someone asking a question, please do not paint us all with
the same brush. There may be a good reason we ask our question. God bless.
Sincerely,
James Galyon
