$50 a month for web hosting? There's a company in Richmond, VA (where I
am) that offers hosting for a few hundred a month, but then again, they
offer things like five nines or better and a lot of other top line
services (for those not in computers, five nines means they promise
it'll be up and running 99.999% of the time, which means it's down less
than 5 minutes a year). That kind of hosting is expensive.
Unless you're a huge business, that's not necessary.
I just looked at their web page (home.mawebcenters.
compare it to my hosting service through westhost.com. I pay less than
$10 a month for my site. I don't see much they offer that is useful
that businesses need. They do have a site translator, but that's
absurd. There is no translation program that produces solid text in
other languages. It's always stilted enough to be a giveaway. The
other thing that I notice, though, is that their services are marketed
at clueless newbies who know nothing about web sites. If someone
really wants a business site, they're better off paying a web monkey to
design it, then get hosting for that $7 a month you mention.

Wow. That's a funny one. Unfranchise. Sounds like someone's in denial
over their MLM!

Thanks. I dropped it because it was going off topic and didn't want to
make a blow up over it, but I did wait until at least one person had
commented on what my posts would look like so I could make my point.
Hal
