Martin,

As has been said many times here, the fact that you've taken a
discussion to the argument level means you've lost.

They've been trained extensively to deal with "arguments."

When I was under the influence, I would have shut off whomever chose
to argue. It was only when I started using the analytical skills I'd
been taught in school and elsewhere that I began to see how I needed
to get out on my own. I remember the discussion my wife and I had back
in April of 2001, "If this were a brick and mortar business, we'd have
closed the store by now."

At that point, we "closed the store."
