Ah, you are assuming that as an IBO I made unsolicited calls. On the
contrary, I called only if we had a verbal agreement along the lines
of "Yeah, I'm interested, gimme a call". Or most often, I will always
ask if it is okay if I call them at a particular time and date, and
would then only call with their consent.
I am a person who takes words at face value. If the person I was
prospecting had said NO, then I would leave it at that. I hate when
salespeople push me after I express my NO, so why would I do that to
other people?
If a person tells me it's okay to call them and later they totally
ignore me, I think it's rude. Again, I would much rather hear a
straight "No, I'm not interested" instead of pretending to be
interested and leading me on. But then again, it sounds as if most of
you haven't had good experiences with IBOs, unfortunately.
