Haha
Deb made me chuckle with that comment about giving out their info.
Anyways... I used to get hounded all the time... but I tend to want
to be nice. Similarly, I get a lot of walk in solicitations in my
office. My nice girl response is, "I'm really happy with what I am
using/doing/
but if you have a business card, I can hold on to your information
in case I am ever looking for your product/service.
Usually that is the end of it. Occasionally, I might get a couple
more calls or visits. WHen that happens, I say "Thanks for checking
in. I am still not interested, but I have your info on file."
I had a crazy boss who used to always tell me to be a "gracious
receiver" (of information) because you actually never know
when/how/why you may need that person. And it has stuck with me.
