Okay, I'm gonna get my undies in a little bunch, here:
Please don't forget who we are. Those people who are in MLMs right
now are doing things that they probably would not do under normal
circumstances. They've been taught a lot of these tactics by their
upline. We shouldn't do things to them that we would not want done to
us just because they haven't gotten to the same place we've gotten.
Cruelty begets cruelty. Disdain breeds disdain.
And regarding the Primerica reps who claimed that they were offering
"personal training," tell them that they lied, that they
misrepresented what they were offering, and that you don't work with
people who run a business that way.
That's telling them the truth, respecting who they are as people,
dismissing the validity of their upline's teaching and (hopefully)
putting them in a clumsy spot should they try to call you again.
To everyone else, maybe I'm lacking a bit of a sense of humor tonight,
but I truly hope that we all remember that we, ourselves, we doing
some of the things about which we complain. We are not losers, and we
never were. We were manipulated and deceived, by some of the most
sophisticated scam tactics ever perpetrated. That's very different
than blaming the victims.
