Sometimes, the best thing we can do as parents is allow our kids to
fail. I know that sounds cruel and goes against the grain of our
"motherness" - but the best teacher is experience.
And yes, it IS fair, to say "even though you are an adult - if you
live in my house (or need my help) - THESE are the rules".
