Snipped for brevity

This is a heartbreaking story - but sadly, you are dealing with
adults; and until your daughter is willing to leave, and/or press
charges, there's not much you can do. I would recommend you keep the
lines of communication open, and pray.

In this case, I would not be "negative" and would try to avoid
discussing Amway at all costs - but simply reaffirm that she is a
wonderful person who should NOT be treated badly. I suspect she's
more likely to try and get away if she knows she's returning to a safe
and loving environment?? Your son-in-law is an abuser, pure and
simple - that has nothing to do with any AMO teaching (although the
AMO stance of "the man wears the pants" isn't helping....) Having
readily available information on the local organizations who help
women leave their abusive husbands would be helpful.

I am not defending the AMOs - but I suspect even the dirtbag Kingpins
would NOT want an abuser in their midst??

Best wishes!!
