Hi Hal, I've answered the questions below starting with ** to

** I will tell you the name - it's Melaleuca.

** We have 2 signed "forms" with them - 1 being the Independent
Melaleuca Executive Agreement - and the other being a form to agree
to be directly "linked" to them instead of having a support line. I
can send that form to you - I don't feel comfortable posting it's
contents. I wish I could say yes to a lawyer... we are barely making
ends meet unfortunately. (One of the reasons I must leave... with 3
little kids I can get products from the local shop for much cheaper
that are still environmentally friendly!)

** Unfortunately due to Melaleuca policy you cannot "sell" your
business to anyone. In Melaleuca when you leave - the person that is
directly underneath you - in your first line in the pyramid -
actively building their business - with the biggest team, will "roll
up" and inherit your position. (Hope this makes sense LOL... took me
a while to grasp that concept!) In our position we don't have a
person in our first line that will be able to inherit our business as
we don't have anyone actively building in that line... hence
Melaleuca saying that I have an obligation to keep going.

running

** No they are not on their servers - we (my husband and I) designed
the sites ourself, and are hosted by a company that we have employed
independently and pay for ourselves. The only reasons we're still
running them is a) we are trying to avoid legal action as we can't
afford it and b) I'm feeling a little unsure of the moral obligation
to the people that I've introduced to Melaleuca that are still using
the site - yes hit me over the head!... I don't want to support this
company that I feel is exploiting (Can't quite find the right word
here) it's customers ... nor do I want to let the people down that
I've introduced. We've thought about penning a letter to our
downline politely explaining that we are leaving the company etc -
pulling our website down and using it for my new business (non-mlm...
i'm running my own little printing shop from home now), however
Melaleuca have warned against doing that too.
I've seen so many people on this site that have gotten away from
MLM's and I"m sure they have left Melaleuca too... do we simply cut
our losses and cross fingers that they won't follow through and sue?
On what actual legal grounds can a company such as them tell me that
I must keep my websites running when I'm not going to be with the
company or getting cheques for my downline?
Sorry for rambling. H.
