[MLM Survivors Club] Re: Positive spin on MLMs?

My response is based on Macro-Population of people to MLM operations.

The rules of the game -- and the incentives that these rules create --
matter far more than do personalities.

Given the incentives people of a particular MLM face, why should we
expect one person to differ significantly from another? That is why
focusing less on personalities and more on the rules will help one
analyze the intent of the person, the outcome and whether it's a
"good deal".

Often one thinks MLM can be changed and made better by having ONLY
"good people" involved. But again I ask: Given the incentives
people face in a particular MLM, why should we expect one person to
differ significantly from another?

I do not expect people in MLM, Politicians, whoever or whatever to work
towards and do what's best for me/us (whatever that means). Rather I
expect people to respond to incentives. Not the same thing.

They care about us IF it helps them prosper. If it doesn't, they care
about more important influences.

((((YIKES!!! <diving under my desk> Please do not throw rocks and call
me Nazi-pig. What may appear to be a contradiction let me add –
Most people are Loving, generous and help those in distress and need.
It would take at least one book worth of writhing to really understand
the basis for my above view. If interested, a good start is "How
to Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie

Did you know that the most used word in conversation is the pronoun
"I"?

I am not suggesting the majority people are so self-absorbed they will
club you on the head to take what they desire. What I am suggesting is
a Dale Carnegie view `we are interested in what we want.'))))

You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other
people than you can in two years by trying to get other people
interested in you.
Dale Carnegie

When dealing with people, let us remember we are not dealing with
creatures of logic. We are dealing with creatures of emotion, creatures
bustling with prejudices and [often] motivated by pride and vanity.
