Re: [MLM Survivors Club] Re: Primerica question

No, I am no considering joining any MLM's any time soon. I use some Shaklee products and pay the fee for a distributor so I get them at cost. That's as far as that goes. I don't even get products for family members - only myself. I attended a melaleuca "party" that my niece hosted a couple of years ago. Sheesh - what an eye opening experience. They went around the room and asked if you have ever used melaleuca. Well, I have used tea tree oil, which is the nick name, if you will, for melaleuca ornifolia. the gal looked at me kind of funny. They don't talk tea tree oil, it's melaleuca, because of the name of the organization. I emailed their company to get a products listing of a couple of their things because they are supposed to be good for the earth and natural and whatever. Their products list is evasive. Well, I as advised to call someone, which I didn't, because I just find it easier to e-mail. Never did get an answer! At the end of this "party" the gal in charge announced that they had 3 phones lines available for people to sign up. Yeah, right then and there, they were signing people up. I didn't stay to see if anyone bit!! This same niece is the one who is now into Primerica, so the joke about someone saying that they know someone who calls all MLM's "Primaleuca" really made me laugh. I have another niece who does Market America.

I may be completely off base here(and apologies in advance if I am),
but my gut instinct about these kinds of questions is: its an effort
at looking for some(any) justification to dive in. The last few weeks,
I have noticed several such short questions on this forum by people
that post no other information or offer no perspective of their own.
Just general questions to find "something" positive about a given MLM
to justify getting in.

IMHO it is completely irrelevant whether Primerica offers good
insurance or not. How many times have Hal and others gone over the
fact that it IS NOT about how good the products may be in ANY MLM.

cheers
