IMHO, you couldn't be more wrong.
Joining up with the "right" team, being able to accept rejection and having
good timing have little to do with MLM success. Neither does hard work, a
good business sense or loving your product. If it were that easy, wouldn't
more people be successful?
People fail at MLMs because that is how they are set up. Less than
2% of those who get involved in MLMs making ANY money at all. What are
the chances of you being in that 2%? What traits does one have to have to
skip on over the other 98% who will fail at MLMs? I personally think luck
has a lot to do with it. Be sure to check out the "marketing math" in the files
section for an eye opener.
IME, MLMs are still alive today ONLY because of the 98% failure rate.
Because a portion of that 98% are still loyal to their MLM company and will
continue to place their product qualifying orders each month in hopes of
becoming part of that 2%. These are the people who are padding YOUR
paychecks. They've been convinced by someone that the extra monthly
money needed for the order placement, that is putting them further in debt
will eventually provide them with financial freedom. It won't. It will only get
them further in debt.
I still feel horrible about pushing those "amazing products that everyone
needs immediately" on people who actually liked me, believed me and
trusted me. People who didn't even have enough money for a credit card
but were applying for them JUST to buy my products and start a business
that could free them from their financial burdens. It makes me sick to my
stomach. I didn't know then what I know now and can only try to make
amends by sharing here with others that you just don't want to go there
(MLM)...just don't. It's not worth it...even if you make some cash (which I
did)...its at other people's expense.
