Well, our upline Emeralds actually met my husband's parents at this
church about 30 years ago. They don't show up at church anymore
because they are "building the business". So, we all know that
everyone feels like they need to go to church on Christmas and
Easter, especially if they have neglected to go all year.
I didn't think about this when we were sitting in my in-law's church,
waiting to hear my neice sing a solo in the Christmas service. She
sang beautifully and everything was going fine, even though my sister
in-law's ex husband was sitting behind us with his new wife, that
didn't ruin the Christmas spirit in our hearts. Even my teenage
daughter and her boyfriend with each having a lip piercing and
telling each other in sign language (my daughter's boyfriend's mother
is deaf) that church is boring and look at that nerdy guy in the
choir (did they think no one else knew sign language? LOL), still
didn't ruin the mood for us or anyone else around.
Then it was communion time.... Now they do it different than my
church. We filed out by pew and went to the front to receive
communion. So, we did ours, even the teenagers LOL, and we were back
seated in the pew watching the others partake of communion. Then I
see this guy with a huge head and no neck followed by a slim woman
with a teased hairdo that looks like she is wearing a football
helmet. It was our uPLINE EMERALDS!!!! After the service, my husband
informed me he spotted our upline DIAMONDS, who are the daughter and
son in law of our emeralds. We said congrats to our neices and by to
the in laws and made our way to the only corridor out of the church.
I glanced behind me and met eyes with our upline diamond for only a
second. I know she did not recognize me (I hope).
I just remember when we won a trip to Don Wilson's cabin in Utah and
we all stayed in a cabin together with our emeralds and diamonds and
their respective couple who won. We slept in a fold out couch in the
living room and our diamonds with thier winners were in the loft
while our emeralds slept in the downstairs bedroom, the only room
with a door, because of the emerald husband's loud snoring. So, the
loft is open to the downstairs and we are getting ready for bed. I
hear our diamonds talking quietly and hear her mention our names.
She tells her husband that we are not like them and they would rather
have different people, more charismatic and popular, to have won this
trip (that we had to pay our own airline flight and meals for). That
was really the nail in the coffin for our Quixtar career. Only the
most popular and charismatic would be accepted. And with what I know
about the tool business, it makes perfect sense now.
Anywho, we walked all five family members, the boyfriend making six,
to our truck, laughing about being defectors and losers and feeling
more brave, saying we just don't want to run into them for fear we
would tell that we know the truth and could we have their email
address so we could share with them, lol.
Oh,and my in laws are still signed up and asked me if it was "legal"
to sell quixtar items on ebay. I told them of how I was selling
double x for a 1/4 of what the retail price is and someone from
quixtar told me to remove my picture of double x from my "about me"
page or they would take legal action!! And that I got lots of hate
mail from quixtar reps for selling tapes, books and other tools
online. My in-laws were shocked and upset that it is against the
rules to sell off your quixtar stuff online. I informed them that
for most mlm's if you sell the stuff on ebay the mlm will take away
your representative status. My thoughts are, Why are they still
signed up? And, why does my husband keep renewing us every year? He
says for the life insurance policy we have through them, but this is
getting ridiculous, we have been inactive for over 5 years!! I am
going to find new life insurance and get our ties broken for good!!!
Any ideas for good life insurance that is NOT part of an mlm?? My
husband is a small business owner and they do not offer life
insurance, so we need a good plan.
