I wish we had a magic answer for both of you but we don't. What you
are experiencing is by far the most vile aspect a most disgusting
scam. Some in this club have successfully handled this with their
significant other by fighting back hard and heaping piles of adverse
information about the biz found on the Internet, others have taken a
more gentle approach and slowly but surely planted seeds of doubt
that caused the person to see the light. Sadly some had to bail out
of the relationship to save their sanity and finances.

If your SO's want to "play" businessmen then I think you should
support them, jus not in the manner quixscam would want. I would
give them a copy of the book, "The Millionaire Next Door: The
Surprising Secrets of America's Wealthy" by Stanley and Danko,
subscriptions to: "The Motley Fool" online at
http://www.fool.com, "Money" magazine and/or "Forbes", and a
business ledger. Actually these would make nice Holiday Gifts. The
information in these books/magazines are well respected by the
business community and academia and the message is clear, the way to
financial independence and wealth is by minimizing expenditures and
maximizing savings/investments. Just the same old boring principle
we have all been taught from day one. Not only does it work but it
flys in the face of the nonsense being pumped into them by the
upline and the biz. Not only that but mlm is disdainfully viewed if
it gets covered at all.

The ledger of course is so they can track their own "progress"
(actually regress) in the biz. Give them the information that is
true and real and let them form their own judgement against what is
currently being pumped into them which is falacy and fantasy. Above
all it negates any charge towards you that you are not being
supportive of them or are negative towards the scam.

Best of Luck and please keep us informed.

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays,

Robby
