Please understand that I don't wish to come off as being harsh, but I
wonder if you have any idea how insincere this post sounds. How do
you sense a "false feeling of euphoria?" In all the years I was in
the business, very litle of the excitement was faked. We had truly
been convinced that we were in the right opportunity to make our
dreams come true. No outsider could consider it "false euphoria"
because it was not false. It was real.

Also, no one goes to a rally where there's cheering and excitement and
immediately thinks "I'm in a cult setting with a group of brainwashed
converts." This is the thinking of someone who's done a lot of
looking into the business after seeing a small sampling of what the
meetings have to offer.

I believe most people do not join the business because of the
"rah-rah" stuff. They join because of a rather low-key and acceptably
professional presentation done in a much smaller setting (a hotel
conference room or someone's kitchen.)

If you want to be convincing with people who are asking real questions
about the business and are looking for real advice about it, you have
to step out of your own shoes and look at the experience from the
perspective of the person asking the questions. Otherwise, you come
off as scripted, and that's not an image that serves survivors and
critics of the A/Q business.
