Please define a "ringleader.
from a rank-and-file IBO who is simply doing as he/she was taught?
Who do you condemn as a criminal, and to whom do you extend the
understanding and sympathy due to a victim? How far up the LOS tree
do you trace the lineage before you cross the line between
perpetrator/
point, and how, practically, do you deal with people on either side of
the line?
I think I have some understanding of the answers to these questions,
but it appears from your response that your understanding is deeper.
So I ask for your response in order to clarify my own position on the
matter.
Personally, I don't think any of this is a joking matter, so to call
anyone a "joker" in this is, to me, a belittling of the situation.
There are at least thousands (perhaps millions) of people who have
been harmed over the course of at least 2-3 generations by these
scammers. Thousands who have lost money, time, relationships,
careers, possessions and, in a few cases, their lives. There are
thousands of people who still believe in the phoney "dream" and
continue to unknowingly harm others through the continued perpetration
of the scam, and yet you would have me believe that we are overstating
the nature of victimhood on this board.
I'm afraid I simply don't follow your logic and ask that you make it a
little clearer for me, if not for all of us.
Thanks.
