I may be more cynical than most of you, but the reason there is no
regulatory action is not because the regulatory agencies are ignorant
of whats going on. All the substantial MLMs make massive political
contributions - as such the people in government care more about them
than the constituents that are hurt by this - I think that for
regulatory enforcement to kick in, the number of people hurt has to
reach a certain critical point - maybe the UK is there, are we ?. I
think that these people will be actively sought by other MLMs because
of the added revenue they can bring by just moving their customer base
over (notice I didn't say "distributors" - because they are really
just customers).
How many of you have heard the following: " Mr. X was a big Amway
distributor, but now he is in our "company", because he realized that
we have the best products, are the most ethical. etc. ". My guess is,
we will hear more of that stuff from wherever they choose to go.
