Part of the process of coming to terms with things, is being able to
recognize what was positive, and what was negative.

I'll grant that most MLMs don't teach good sales tactics. The tactics
that they do teach are commonly taught in non-MLM organizations ---
especially on the lower rungs.
OTOH, one of the best "quick reference" books I've seen was written for
an MLM that focused on retail sales.

I think that telemarketers are far more annoying sales people than used
car sales people are. The used car sales person at least paraphrases
one's objection to buying his card, before extolling the other virtues
of the vehicle. Telemarketers, OTOH, ignore the objection, throwing up a
completely unrelated response with an equally inane closing.
