For some people, it provides the illusion of setting up things so that
they are in control of life. Those people will find the material
helpful.
Those who grok the material, discover that instead of spending an hour
listing to a tape on how to do something, can spend an hour doing something.
Here is an analogy.
* Attend an Anthony Robbins course, for an illusion of controlling things;
* Reading one of his books, watching one of his video tapes, listening
to one of his CDs will give the illusion of controlling things;
* Working your way through every exercise/problem/
one of his books, will give you the foundation of a tool set that can be
built upon, for controlling things.
> And does involvement in this thing actually help folks,
> Even thought it keeps you broke?
For those for whom it provides an illusion, it becomes an addiction.
Their involvement satisfies their fix.
