OK - I'll step up, cautiously: (heck - I AM "Fun unlimited" but it has
to do with retirement - NOT with MLM)
You need to read the books about "Guerilla Marketing" - I think my
favorite was "101 Guerilla Marketing Tips" or something like that. It
sounds like you are truly retailing a product (the minute they want
you to attend training "meetings"; or listen to tapes/CDs that cost
you money - run like heck)
The Guerilla books have lots of free marketing hints in them - how to
get your name and product out in front of people. Some of the "How to
Sell" books might help, also. At least they might help you find the
right people to market to - this forum is surely NOT the right place ;-)
Avoid the "MLM Building" people - there's a TON of people who'll
promise to help you grow your business - and the only thing that will
grow is the money in their wallets as yours is drained.
Also remember that your suckers might be a "fad". Back in the early
'90's, there were weight-loss cookies being sold via MLM. Hot
commodity for about 6 months; then dropped dead. I'm predicting the
same will happen to you - so be prepared. Don't go out onto a
"financial ledge"......
Treat your business like a real, honest-to-goodness business. Your
bottom line (income minus expenses) should be your guide - NOT dreams,
or the "future" or anything other than cold hard numbers.
The minute anyone tells you something that sounds "too good to be
true" - assume it is' and run like heck.
