Some of you may recall that I mentioned my hubby asking about
vending machine business. I thought it was not MLM related. Well,
since he didn't mention it again, I left it alone. I figured I'd
wait until he brought it up. No need to rekindle the idea if it
died, right.
So in a strange twist of events, it came up again. Why? I won a
vending machine (among other prizes) from the radio station. He
wondered what type of vending machine. (I haven't picked up the
prize yet cuz I have to arrange for a big truck).
Turns out his buddy at work is selling Noni Juice. And he has this
bright idea of putting it in a vending machine.
He's selling it as an energy drink. They are police officers who
work third shift and often lack sleep due to family obligations.
I told him he does NOT want to get involved in that. That there
really isn't a market for it. It tastes disgusting. It would be
like opening a Liver-n-Onions dinor.
He said that the guy who his buddy signed up under is making a lot
of money. I told him about the "fake it til you make it" concept.
I will do the usual google search of Noni+scam...
But if anyone can give me some credible info on this to keep my
hubby out.... and maybe help him get his friend out.
My hubby is not brainwashed to the point of selling it yet... but he
thinks it's a magical health drink.
His buddy can't afford to lose money in this either. He has two
kids and is going through an ugly divorce. His ex is screwing him
financially which is how I am sure he got sucked in.
I told my hubby that I belong to this group and that I am very well
aware of MLMs and how they (don't) work. I told him I'd find some
legit info to forward on to him.
I went through my MLM obsession before we got together, so he didn't
see first hand all the Home Interiors inventory I had CROWDING my
entire house... or the $1000 party that ended up being $10 in profit
after all was said and done. He has never been to the Quixtar
meetings where they tell you how you can be a multi-millionaire in 5
yearsand show you all these videos of people with wealth beyond the
imagination.
Since he hasn't ben exposed to it in any way, I think he could fall
for it if I don't get the chance to educate him first.
