When my brother-in-law was spewing the plan to me, I stopped him and
asked,
"What would your TEAM do if I was at a meeting and told someone I
stopped and had an abortion on the way to my bi-sexual support group
while having a Pro-Democrat bumper sticker on my car?"
He just looked at me. I am openly liberal and my b-i-l and sister
are staunch Republicans. We have an agrement not to talk politics at
family functions, as my parents are also liberals. We joke back and
forth and such but do not touch on any controversial issues.
I do not want to be part of an organization that supports or speaks
out against anything I believe in. I do not want to support them
with my dollars, actions or words. I consider myself to be very
liberal and had I been at a meeting where anti-gay slurs were being
thrown out, I would get up and leave (hopefully providing I hadn't
been brainwashed as most of the minions at these functions are).
I am actually embarrassed that I signed up as an IBO, even though I
have not done anything with it and did it to prove a point. The $50
went to something I do not believe in.
Anyway...I am rambling.
