How bout this? I was at a doctors' meeting in a hotel in Dallas.
Mannatech was also having a meeting at the same hotel. I got on an
elevator and noticed a woman with a big button on her lapel that
said, "Got Naked Cells?" Curious, I asked her to explain. She said
that my cells likely were "naked" due a lack of glycosylation.
of course, her Mannatech products would fix all that for me. A bunch
of us laughed at her because she didn't seem to know what
glycosylation of proteins was about, nor could any orally administered
substance be expected to have an effect on cellular glycosylation and
other post-translational processes. The whole thing is a foolish scam
to create a perceived need for products that really have no effects at
all. The public really should be protected from this sort of
hucksterism.
