[MLM Survivors Club] Re: Hi, I'm new & a Pro-MLMer ;)

Hi Deb

Thanks for the welcome & the warning. :) Appreciate it.

I don't view people with a negative view to MLM as the enemy. Just a
different view, stemmed from an unfortunate experience of the
business. It's quite normal actually. In fact, there are some things
MLMers do that irks me as well, eventhough I'm pro-mlm. MLM might be
my choice of business, but it's a part of me, and I'm first and
foremost a person, like everyone else here is. There are just some
things and methods that no one should stand by and allow to happen,
i.e. lie to someone else, or mislead others, etc. It's quite cruel
because it's about someone else's life & dreams. Our dreams are
already so fragile, it's shitty to mess around with it.

In business, MLM or otherwise, my motto is, don't do it if you don't
want others to do it to you - and when things get cloudy, stick to
your principles.

I read that book, AMO..it's good albeit in my opinion a bit lopsided
to the negative. Then again, it's the author's privilege to write what
she felt. And it was good, because it challenged alot of things that
were never questioned out loud. Did the industry alot of good too.
Funny thing was, it was written in the 80's rite? Guess what, i was
impressed that when I joined an AMO in '97 pretty much the same things
happened. I read it only this year. Amazing that it can last that
long. Something good taken too far, without any questioning - and
there you go...a cultish existence. Eerie. I can vouch for the author,
it happens exactly like that...But for me, once I put in so much
work, and received no money...and no one wants to talk about
it...well, it's adios for me. No point wasting time, time is money,
and money is time. But i did learn alot about MLM being a great option
to build residual income, so I count myself lucky - I just never held
it against the industry...went out to experience more from different
companies.

I doubt as one person I can stop that trend, but I jolly well will go
for it anyway. LOL. I can only be responsible for my own actions, and
what I teach my people. I'm sure people here are great, actually, most
people I know are great, regardless their point of view about MLM.
It's their right anyhow to experience exactly what they want. I just
wanna learn, and hopefully contribute something of value as well along
the way.

Thanks again Deb, have a great day!

Cheers
JL
