How does one become a consultant for Rachel Ray products?
A friend of mine said she was a consultant for Rachel Ray MLM, and well
on the website, there is nothing that mentions Rachel Ray MLM or click
here to become a Rachel Ray Consultant.
Please clear this up for me,

I wanted to test the waters before opening another can of MLM worms. I'm
not thinking about joining, but I am very intrigued. I was at an Open
House about 8 or so months ago, (I was selling my wares) and a woman
came up to me to "attack" me sort of speak. She started to tell me that
she was a Rachel Ray Consultant, Rachel Ray started a new company, with
some otherinvestors and other famous cooks, and it was a "ground floor
opportunity" and how she got in to it. (Mind you she was a "guest" to
the Open House, and not a paid vender) So I just brush her off, and say
something along the lines of good luck to you. She proceeds to talk
loudly about how "other" kitchen tool companies are so outdated /
saturated, etc. and how "smart" she was to get in on the ground floor...
So now she has other guests interested and they all go to the dining
room to hear what she has to say, so now that the living room is
deslsolate, I go into the kitchen to refill my water cup...
She told the group, how she gets the "privledge" of selling Rachel Ray
exclusive pots, and pans, and knives, along with pantry and "everything"
Rachel Ray sells, and she gets these items way cheaper than if you
bought them online etc, because she is a "Consultant" for Rachel Ray's
new exclusive company...
When someone asked about the Company name, she said she was too new to
remember, it had a weird name...
Another asked about, "Does the consultants get to meet Rachel Ray?" She
responded, with the company is too new, and there is nothing offical
said about meeting her, but once the company really gets going, she
thinks that Rachel Ray will give her consultants VIP seating at her
show.
*eye roll from me in the kitchen*
So then it was time for basket give-away, and the group dispersed, and
well she got everyone to give her their contact info and when she gets
more information released to her, she will tell it to them personally!
So needless to say I was a bit upset about that last move, and simply
started to pack up afterwards, and thanks the host and left...
But since then I haven't heard really anything about it, and even when I
went to TOHE website, all they sell is a subscription to Rachel Ray's
magazine, nothing about selling their pots, pans, knives, or pantry
items...
So if anything I was just curious about it, and I'm kinda bummed that
the lady stole my thunder sort of speak. I joined MLM to find a sense of
belonging, not for the $$$, which is why I have not spent a single dime
extra for my current MLM. I made the mistake before and I learned my
lesson, I've burned bridges, and built new ones. I've definatly learned
from my many many mistakes, but at the same time I grew, and well I'm
glad that mlm's exsist. But also I know not all MLM's were created
equal. (thats why 99% of us spent of tousands and thousands of money- to
buy happiness. I bought $6k of product, just to get a friendship..
an expensive friend... and now she isn't even speaking to me anymore,
because I didn't want to spend the money anymore, + driving her
everywhere, + paying for her food, but she was my superior. She had a
bigger paycheck, but I was paying for her meals, and driving her around.
She had the burgandy cadillac - she didn't like the white mercedes
option, and the money to be the SAHM, she is still living the dream...
and I am living reality.
