I would suggest continuing to wonder. And consider a few queries:
1) Do you want to join an organization that promises to provide you
income but which you have doubts about?
2) If you're having second thoughts before you join, how much do you
feel you can trust them to be what they say they are?
3) If you have doubts now, don't you want to explore and hear other
points of view other than just their own? Don't people often say there
are three sides to the story: your side, my side, and the truth?
Examine the situation and listen to not just their side, but other
points of view. Is there a reason they would discourage you from
listening to other points of view unless they're scared those views
might contain truths you don't want to hear?
