Re: [MLM Survivors Club] Re: Just a question about financial planning

Vicki,

absolutely right.

But when it comes to MLMs - believe it or not - they really do think that the untrained can give Financial Advice, Medical Advice, Legal Advice.

Thats because they actively promote the idea that everything is a big plot by the AMA or Big Pharma or the ABA . Damn, why go to school to learn all that 'stuff' when someone can just print you off the spiel?

need to do this business... CPA, PFS, CFP...

If they say, oh you don't actually need any of that, and that ANYONE
can do this... tell him he's full of crap.

I work at a Wealth Management firm. I have none of those
credentials, so I do not advise anyone about anything. I am an
office assistant. The people that DO advise clients are CPA, CFP
and or PFS.

Would you go to a doctor who never went to medical school? Would
you seek legal counsel from someone who never passed the Bar?

Probably not.

Would you give legal advice if you had no legal training and knew
nothing about the law? That would be unethical/unauthorized
practice of law. I have a Paralegal Certificate, but I still can't
give legal advice.

I hate Primerica. Someone called me here at work and tried to
recruit me.
