You can request it, but I will not interfere with anyone's posting
privileges over it. Lotions and potions constitute a large portion of
the MLM industry's product lines, and it would be difficult to have a
discussion of MLM while precluding conversation about these products.
Also, what constitutes "snake oil" and what constitutes proof are
difficult to quantify. How much proof is required in order to
designate a product as snake oil? There are products being sold
through both MLM and non-MLM methods that do not do what they are
purported to do, and some cause irreversible harm. Sea Silver is a
product that comes immediately to mind. Clearly, such products are
snake oil, and if they are sold through MLM, they should be freely
discussed here.
I do agree with you that there are products sold through conventional
retail channels that are as much snake oil as those sold through MLM.
So from that perspective, I hope the members will keep this in mind -
that snake oil products are not exclusive to MLM.
