Well I'm not sure if they planned it that way because last year when
it was in St louis, MO, there were no "other" conventions going on at
the same time that was skincare related.
Also the previous year when it was in Las Vegas (i went to that one
too!) being vagas a bunch of other conventions were probably going
on, but when you walked the strip if you saw a man or a woman with a
silver tote you knew they were there for the NTC event.
Hitting up estheticians is nothing new. I remember going to beauty
schools and bringing "product" because I was "allergic", but really I
was trying to recruit them and/or book a presentation with them. I
actually did well with the ones who were about to graduate, because
they knew they would have to invest in something when they went off
on their own. I would talk to stylists, manurists, and estheticians,
I also knew that I was not allowed to bring in my own products,
because it was solisticing (sp), but since I claimed to be "allergic"
to everything else, this was my way in...
And I would call up salons and ask if they used Arbonne products in
their salon, and if they didn't know what I was talking about... what
is Air-bourne? I would hang up and then like 3 days later go in and
get a manicure and when it came time to "scrub" my hands I would whip
out product and say I'm "allergic", then usually make a sale, or
trade and then not have to pay for my manicure...
I know I was terrible!

> Another interesting note, is that Arbonne's NTC, training
conference, is always scheduled on the same weekend in Vegas as the
National Aesthetics Skin Care Trade Shows. Arbonne is following the
skin care/spa industry like a hawk trying to suck all the
estheticians in who go to the spa shows.

> Btw, to PW: could we please stay away from ingredient arguments
and what is real snake oil unless people have proof? This is an anti
mlm group if I am not mistaken and we are talking about the business
right, yawn. I do cleanse, and it is beneficial.
