Even though you have the right idea - I would strongly caution (as
others have said) against doing this.
The people running the meeting are ready for folks like you - they
have a very carefully choreographed system that has been luring people
in for decades. The whole system is designed to make you suspend your
critical thinking skills. They WILL make you look like a nutcase.
I think you would be MUCH more effective by sitting quietly and taking
notes. Write down the catch-phrases you hear that are designed to
gain your trust and get you motivated to join this "once in a lifetime
business opportunity"
want to barf after a while....especially when you understand that Mr.
I. M. Awesomediamond is probably late paying his property taxes and
has never attended his kid's sporting events; and doesn't really earn
any more money than your neighbor who drives a bulldozer.
Later, point these out to your friends in a quiet and non-threatening
manner.
If anyone asks what you're writing - the one thing they might NOT be
ready to answer is: "I'm hearing a lot of hype - but no hard facts
from you. How much did YOU earn from the sale of Amway products last
year?" Hey - it's tax time; they know - but I'm guessing they won't
tell because until they hit Emerald or above, they are almost
guaranteed to be showing a LOSS, due to the Motivational Group expenses.
And if nothing else - you NEED to attend this meeting, because you
will learn to recognize a well-oiled scam ;-) And THAT, my Friend, is
a very good thing to learn!
