I'm new to this site and have found alot of interesting things here.
I'm so glad I found this group!
I'm dropping the BOMB on my upline on Saturday that my wife and I are
leaving the TEAM. Last month the wife (upline) cried when I said we
needed to get off "system" because we needed to concentrate our money
to paying off other bills. And they aren't even at the Platinum
level yet to reap in some of the tool money.
What took me 6 months to realize is that the the REAL money comes
from the profits of the tool system. I really thought that
the "profit sharing" came from more "middle-man" money that went into
the pot to be distributed as you built your business to a larger
level. In Orrin Woodward's book Leading the Consumer Rebellion,
there is only one small statement that some profit is made from the
tool business. Now after showing the plan and having others tells me
they did research on the web and have given me objections, I decided
to look for myself only to be able to handle those objections.
Well........ As you can read above, I found out so much more!! I
couldn't believe I got myself involved in this business. I never
wanted to get involved in MLM and here I am, right in the middle.
I'm glad in the fact that during that 6 months we only signed up my
Father. He never did get involved in the system. And when I told
him my concerns and what I had discovered, he said that he started to
get a funny feeling about the business too. I should have known
something was up the minute we signed the papers and saw Quixtar on
the form. I didn't know anything about Quixtar at the time, but when
I asked about it, I got that it was just the sign-up form for the web-
site to do the shopping. TEAM isn't anything special or a unique
group that is all that different from any other LOS. Did anybody
know that DCI and The Legecy group merged with TEAM? Yup...... Billy
Florance's group is now TEAM. From what I was told, they didn't have
a training system as good as TEAM's and were always asking for Orrin
and Chris to come and speak at their functions. Plus I'm sure their
Top leaders wanted to reap all the money available in the tool
profits when their downlines bought them. What a hugh scam.
None of those "tools" are any good outside of the TEAM business.
None. I'm hoping I can recoup some of the money we spent on those
things from either our upline buying them or going directly to our
Platinum leader. Even if we can get half back would be better than
nothing.
It just makes me sick to think that I got involved in the modern day
Amway.
Thanks for reading my stuff. Anyone else that has been involved
recently with TEAM, if you would post your thoughts and experiences,
I'd appreciate it.
Mark
