Hey all:) I was wondering if anyone had any information on the LTD
group of Quixtar. I've been able to get some, and some of my
questions have prompted my involved BF to ask some questions of his
upline. He recently told me that he found out that in LTD, tool
profits pay out to IBOs starting at the Platinum level. He stated
that once an IBO reaches Platinum, the pay scale for tools in
available on the LTD website. He also said his upline indicated that
LTD split from (was it BWW?) another team due to abuses regarding tool
profits. The answers seem pretty good, and fairly detailed, but in
all my searching I have been unable to verify (or disprove) the
information he has been given. I *do* know that LTD is a fairly new
team, so the abuses seen in other AMO's might not be the same (yet?).
What follows are some long, probably confusing details about recent
situations regarding by BFâs Qstar business. Feel free to read, or
disregardâ¦my main reason for posting this was the LTD question. If
you make it through my ramblings and have any thoughts, I would love
some input. If not, no worriesâ¦.I just do not have another outlet to
discuss such things, and it has been an enormous help to share my
situation here periodically.
It's been a year and my BF is still in Qstar, as is his family. We
got into one of our first truly...heated discussions regarding his
business, but the end result was a decision that I slow down the
questions/criticism and listen better (this refers to my tendency to
interrupt his explanations with more questions that I know he can't
answer, rather than listening and *then* asking more questions...
knows I am not a fan of Qstar, and what my concerns are, etc., and he
has done a pretty good job of seeking out answers to all the questions
I have asked. In return, he will keep better track of his finances
and will keep me more "in the loop" as far as Qstar is concerned. My
disapproval has been causing him not to talk about Qstar much at all,
and I had been feeling cut off and unhappy with this....as I know it
is important to him, and if he doesn't discuss it with me, I have no
way of knowing how it's going, how he personally is doing in the
business, if there are any questions or information I can suggest he
ask or look for, etc... I just wish he was more interested in seeking
out the answers for his *own* sake, rather than to get me information.
My views on Qstar *have* caused a bit of tension, but nothing so far
that either of us feel is a huge problem, or a relationship breaker.
He was over at my house for a dinner with other guests last night, and
one of the women there asked him what he did. He mentioned Qstar
(along with his other employment) and she asked question after
question, due to the fact she had never heard of an MLM. I only
caught the end of the conversation (I was in the kitchen) when he was
attempting to describe how an MLM worked (in a very general, vague
sense). I jumped to the conclusion that he was trying to describe the
business to her to "sell" the idea, and I asked him quietly to not
discuss business during dinner. In talking to him later, I realized
that he had been doing his very best to change the topic and give
non-specific answers. I had jumped to the wrong conclusion and I felt
terrible about it. He stressed (again) to me that he would *never*
attempt to "sell the idea" in such a setting, and that he had been
attempting to change the subject because he did not feel it was an
appropriate time for such a discussion. He also stated that given my
views on Qstar, he would not attempt to "sell" the idea when I was
there, or to my family or friends, and that he fully respected my
views and wishes in this regard. I've become so worried about this
whole Qstar thing that I didn't even give my BF the benefit of the
doubt last night, when I would have known he would never attempt to
sell his business in my house, or in the type of setting we were in.
I apologized more than once, and we talked a bit, and I felt that all
in all, some good discussion came out of the incident.
Finally, I have noticed that the LTD training my BF has been doing
(books, CDs, functions) has been helping him market himself for a
performing hobby that he hopes to turn into a profession. His other
pursuit is in a field that is hard to break into, and lately he has
been motivated and persistent and has been making some real progress,
due to some of the information he has been given in Qstar. I do, of
course, wish he had gotten the information and motivation in a
different manner, but Iâm truly glad that something good is coming out
of all thisâ¦
Thanks,
EA
