[MLM Survivors Club] Re: New to all of this

Congrats Jenny. There are many thousands of people who wish they had
your foresight from the beginning, instead of through the school of
hard knocks.

I don't know how much you've investigated, but I think it's a good
life skill to understand exactly WHY multi-level marketing is a bad
idea; people complaining about it isn't proof enough that it doesn't
work. If you haven't already, I'd spend an evening researching the
various scams out there- pyramid schemes, ponzi schemes, MLM, matrix
schemes, etc. Wikipedia is a great resource. All these scams are fun
to read about, and you'll be vaccinated when you run into them again
in the future. Congrats again, and have fun!

By the way, my favorite pragmatic quote about get-rich-quick schemes
is from John Reed about Robert Kiyosaki (another scammer):

"Wisely-chosen education—defined broadly as reading books, talking to
successful people in the field you are interested in, attending
courses, and subscribing to trade publications is generally the
highest return you can earn on your money and time."

away what the company name is. Dug deep enough to find out the name
of the company, then started doing some research online whilst waiting
for a phone call from the person who will set me up. I had never
heard the term "mlm" before - it's all new to me.

people saying they have been ripped off, duped and brainwashed. Very
little positive information (although stock prices look pretty good,
suprisingly). Found you guys and I am glad I did. Yesterday's post
from the lady who got screwed on her taxes was the final nail in the
coffin. You have saved me from potentially getting caught up in this
nasty trap, and I thank you all.

the business for me, thank you very much. Thankfully she did not give
me much hassle. I'm blocking her phone number though - just in case ;)
