[MLM Survivors Club] Re: What's the Raw Deal About The TEAM or Team of Destiny?

TEAM (formerly Team of Destiny) is a separate motivational
organization operating with Amway/Quixtar. Orrin Woodward is the
leader, (commonly called a Kingpin). Despite their claims, they are
no different than any of the other AMOs (Amway Motivational
Organizations)- they promise to be the "only way to successfully build
your business" while they charge you ridiculous fees for tapes, books,
and functions. All of which are "mandatory" and can deplete your
checkbook of several hundred dollars a month (while your Amway Product
sales might net you a handful of dollars. I have a printout from
Amway that says the average IBO sells 38 PV per month, which boils
down to a bonus check of maybe $7-8 dollars every 3 months). The
stories you can read here of financial and relationship ruin can
usually be traced to involvement in these AMOs.

The sole reason these AMOs exist is to provide a HUGE income stream
for the handful of Kingpins at the top. One CAN build an
Amway/Quixtar business without AMO involvement (but given the
difficulty of doing it, in light of all the "bad press" - my question
is: "Is it worth it?")
