Actually, yes I do. The whole post is disturbingly reminiscent of the
twisted logic I was bombarded with by my upline when I was in
Amway/Quixtar. Bitch_n_pack'
immediately sets about defending it (always leery of a sales pitch that
begins with a defense)by stating that yes, it IS commercial but then
implies that the "main stream" manufacturers are much worse and
basically evil. ie. manipulative, deceitful, dishonest, and even
dangerous. Funny, I don't recall any of the big companies mentioned
telling me that mansions, diamonds, Ferrari's and a millionare
lifestyle awaits if I would just use their products exclusively. Oh,
and buy lots and lots of books, tapes, dvds, pay to go to weekly
meetings, monthly functions, and quarterly rallies, etc, etc. Yes, I
know some companies and products are not the best, but I don't see them
using the manipulation of untold wealth to persuade me to part with my
money. I checked out 4 or 5 links on the mercola site and found it to
be unscientific, alarmist, and disturbing on quite a few levels.
(personal opinion)
I am always trying to cut through the crap and determine truth without
emotional involvement. (difficult) I spent 7 fruitless years in
Amway/Quixtar and hope I've learned my lesson. I guess the reason for
my objection was that the post affected me emotionaly and made me
angry. It just seemed like all that crap that I fell for in the first
place. I am still obviously not fully recovered from my mlm addiction
and am very sensitive to cras emotional nmanipulations.
You do wonderfully with this group and I find it very helpful and even
theraputic. I understand that this is an open forum and we all need to
consider as many points of view as possible. I regret implying that
the owners were asleep at the switch. Please dissregard my objection to
the post it just hit a nerve.
