Hi, I'm brand new to this group. My daughter and her husband have
been Quixtar IBO's for almost 2 years and they just celebrated their
2nd anniversary. My daughter did not want to join, but an upline
woman said, "your husband is going to do this with or without you.
Don't you want him to do it with you?" Now I guess she is hooked.
Though in some ways I feel she is a prisoner. Creditors have been
calling our house for a year and yet he "wants to handle all the
finances himself." She has a good job and he is ruining their credit
score.....We, everyone, has tried at some level to talk them out of
it. I use to hear him say things like, "we will be millionaires at
our high school reunion." I don't hear him say that anymore, though
I know he thinks everything will be rosy when he PROVES to everyone
that he was right all along.
Anyway, I have been reading about the lawsuits (Plural!!) in
California. Any chance these will have any real effect on Quixtar
in the US? Oh, I mean Amway, since they are changing the name back,
though they never were affiliated--
Maybe this has all been discussed on here. Any help or insights
anyone can give me would be appreciated. My husband and I have
already sat down with a counselor over this. I feel my daughter has
been kidnapped. I mostly wonder whether my son in law has some kind
of personality disorder to get sucked into this magical thinking?
Is that common? I think my daughter is working her butt off to keep
them afloat financially and try to please and support her husband
that she loves. What usually gives first??? This is heart breaking
to a mother.... Thanks for any encouragement or words of insight.
