What would be the purpose of using an MLM model, rather than a
traditional one? Given the tendency for MLM to be abused and abusive,
why would you want to set yourself up that way?

I'm sure Rich and Jay had exactly the same idea in 1959. Sure, you
could say their company works, but there are a whole bunch of people
who wouldn't mind seeing them in prison. The benefit (wealth) would
be good, but the cost (your reputation) would suck.

What would you do to keep your MLM company from getting into the hands
of conmen? How would you go about advertising your MLM in a way that
overcomes the stigma that the industry currently has?

I've suggested that there might be ways for an honest MLM to work, but
I also feel that there have to be pretty compelling reasons to bother
with it. There are many hurdles there that don't exist for other
types of marketing. You have to know what those hurdles are and why
you want to jump them.

Personally, I can't see a good reason to try it.
