I married my husband in 1999 and before our marriage there was a lot
of whispering with his parents and they would have secret phonecalls
and pull him aside at family gatherings. All my husband would say is
that he is "helping people" and we will travel and that I can buy a
ball gown. What? I attended my prom a LOOOONG time ago!
Well, I made him tell me because a co-worker alerted me to
the "Amway" cult and how they hold hands and sing Kumbaya at the
functions. I was freaked out! But he said we never have to be part
of Amway.
I quit my job when I was pregnant with our daughter and money was a
little tight. This was in Nov 1999, my husband told me about
QUIXTAR. He said Amway changed their name because of the stigma and
it is all onine and everyone will love it and we will be rich......
**NOTE*** I was told the "bad reputation so we changed to Quixtar"
story!
I have posted the rest of my story here before but I thought it was
interested to think back to the name change and why it happened. Now
they are trying to change again?? I think they are desperate and
they are going to sink anyway. I hope Karma, reap-what-you-
comes back and kicks them HARD!!!
