[MLM Survivors Club] Re: herbalife-legal recourse

I sympathize with your predicament....... Here's my 2c.

1. I think you should make a clean break from Herbalife. Cancel your
autoship, give up your distributorship. If you have frontloaded
inventory, do what you will with it, but don't order anymore. (Try to
return for a refund).

2. Get out of the "I want to help people" mentality - That's what gets
a lot of MLMers in trouble - A kind heart coupled with unreasonable
trust of MLM corporations. If people want your help, let them ask for
it. Nobody likes unsolicited help - especially when the helper has a
profit motive.

3. I think others may have more educated opinions on this, but I will
bet that you do not have legal recourse against Herbalife. Even if you
have a case, I doubt if you will find a lawyer to take the case unless
you are willing to pay 3-400 an hour. These corporations didn't get to
where they are without having an army of lawyers to cover their
behinds. Besides, I think you pretty much sign away your rights when
you sign up.

4. Unfortunately, I don't think there are easy answers for your debt.
One thing I do know - Stay away from the debt relief companies that
advertise constantly on radio and stuff. I hear most of them are
scams as well. My personal opinion is that you just have to pay your
debts off. I think there may be genuine debt restructuring
organizations out there, don't know how to find them.

Good luck ......
