He said it at some point, but there was also the style or "type" of
errors he made that indicated he was ESL (English as a second
language). Considering the difficulties I had in school with Latin and
French, I think it can be difficult to write well in another language
unless one has had a lot of practice in it.
Oddly enough, as I write this, there's a "Leave it to Beaver" episode on
TV with Beaver having trouble with English. Wally gives him an
explanation of why it's important to use proper English because "people
judge you on the words you use." When that's all someone has to decide
if a person knows what they're talking about or not, it is important.
If an MLMer comes in here and starts reading posts and most of the
anti-MLM posts are written poorly, then they're not going to give much
credit to that point of view. When questions over presentation come
up, I tend to think of Harry S. Truman. His speech was quite colorful,
but he knew when to present himself well and even with his tendency to
use colorful words, he was still able to speak and write well. Would
he have even gotten as far as Congress if he didn't bother with how he
wrote or spoke and, instead, used excuses? When people start excusing
one thing, I wonder just what they care enough about to work on and not
use excuses.
