Assuming that your questions are not rhetorical, the true answers to
these questions are only available directly from the people you
suspect. In other words, only Orrin Woodward can reveal whether or
not he knows about the scam, the scope of it and how harmful it has
been. I believe that some of the Kingpins (maybe Woodward) could be
revealed in sworn testimony, if it were ever to get that far.
All those big pins who resigned from the business are not Kingpins.
Kingpins gain nothing from resigning, and they lose nothing from the
resignations of those under them. They simply realign their groups to
bypass the gaps created when these resignations happen.
I think some IBOs know earlier than others about what kind of harm
they are causing in a scam like the A/Q business. Much of what
happens can be explained away to those who are unlikely to question
such explanations. I suspect this is the reason that my wife and I
were able to extricate ourselves from the business early on: We were
not willing to accept circuitous answers. We were not willing to buy
a dodge (except for my Caravan that carries my musical equipment to
all my gigs ;-) ).
If you are one who finds it difficult to question authority,
especially if that authority uses religion and other methods to stop
critical thinking, you may be more likely to accept non-answers when
they are offered. That is what I believe happens with most big pin
holders. They are, by my definition, far less culpable in the scam
than the Kingpins.
But identifying a Kingpin can be difficult unless you can spot
evidence that they know what they are doing. Creeps like Yager and
Britt are very high on my list of suspects. I don't know enough about
Woodward to make a call. If you made a list of the top 50 A/Q
leaders, I could probably point out a dozen suspected Kingpins, maybe
more. But I wouldn't be sure. I couldn't claim that.
