[MLM Survivors Club] A friend asked me a question..

I seem to remember reading one of your posts on XSO where you said
that you were a member of an anti MLM list.

I have a question that I hope you can help me with. Feel free to
forward this to anyone else who may know something about these people.

There's something called Fastrack which is a microbial gel that I
have been using on my dogs for years. We first came across it in a
natural pet food store in Florida. The stuff works absolutely great.
If a dog won't eat, you put some of it in his moth and within one to
two minutes he's looking for his bowel.

Having 4 dogs, we go through a lot of it.

The store we got it from stopped carrying it a while back because
of "issues with the company" that distributed it. We started buying
it off the internet from another distributor. He then stopped
carrying it because of "issues with the company" that distributed it.
I talked to this guy and he told me that Conklin was an MLM and
essentially wouldn't allow him to sell it any more.

I found the actual website of the place that distributes it
(Conklin).

http://www.conklin.com/

I called their Customer Service department to try to find a way I
could buy it. In the conversation I had, the CSR told me she could
give me the name of a local distributor or, if I paid them $25, I
could essentailly buy it from Conklin directly at a reduced cost. (I
would prefer to buy it directly, anyway, as the stuff has a "shelf
life", being live microbes. I'm afraid of buying it from someone who
has it in their house, allowing it to expire.)

If I paid them the $25, I'd be kind of in a "low end distributor"
status.

I'm willing to do this. The stuff isn't cheap, and, as I say, we use
a lot of it. It would be worth the $25 to me.

However, I got very wary when she told me the procedure. I had to
contact another Conklin distributor in my area and fill out and sign
some paperwork. (I'm attaching it.)

What do you think? if I sign on with these people just so I can buy
this stuff, will it be a problem? Will they keep calling me and
bugging me to do things, "COS style"? Does this commit me to anything
I don't want to do?

This local distributor has already caled me twice to "help me fill
out the paperwork", so I already have apprehension.

Please let me know what you think. And, like I said, feel free to
forward this to anyone who might know about these guys.

Thanks!

Maggi
