No, they don't. Ask anyone in a cult. They love it and they came to it
of their own free will. That's why I use the word evil. They bring
people in, then start gradually reprogramming them until they've
changed a good and sometimes innocent person into a tool or weapon that
seeks out other innocent people and empties their bank accounts.

It depends on the person.

I wouldn't say it's closed minded. Often it's because they don't want
to see inside themsevles. They're sure, from their point of view, that
they're right. In the case of Quackstar (and I just refuse to give
them the honor of using their real name), they've been programmed with
a number of false messages. Many times at their meetings and
conventions they whip people up into a frenzy, then overload them with
loud music and a light show or something else, and essentially overload
their senses so they can't process anything anymore and have to just
let it go through them. That's when they hit them with the nonsense
lines that aren't logical but sound logical. People hear that and just
accept it as true. This happens over and over until they believe it.
(Which is why they say to keep listening to the tapes and CDs.)

Then you or I come in with actual facts and logic and we tell them what
we know. To them, we don't make sense because our facts don't fit into
their structure that they've been (literally) programmed to believe.

There are also many people that aren't in Quackstar that project because
they just don't want to face their own inadequacies. There's a woman
where I used to work part time who got mad when I had the answers to
some scientific issues and kept calling me a "know it all." This is
the same woman who told me that geese can fly as high as the space
shuttle along with other levels of BS. She tried to explain
translucency to me and treats me like I don't know anything, but I've
taught chemistry and physics before and, honestly, have forgotten more
than she knows. Notice that I cite a background to my knowledge. I'm
giving it an objective measurement and citing a proof that I know what
I'm talking about. She has no such background and couldn't even cite
watching Nova or The Discovery Channel as part of her education, but
she wants to believe she's smart and educated, so she can't stand me
citing anything that contradicts what she has said. She wants to be
the one with all the answers, so if I dare answer anything correctly,
at some level she's mad and jealous that I did it and she didn't.
She's mad at me, so she feels the need to call me names. A closer way
to hit it is that I'm doing what she wants, so she hates me for it, and
sees me as doing what she wants which bugs the heck out of her, so she
jumps on me for being the one to do it instead of her.

Okay, that's rambling a bit, but, to be honest, the way I write, it'd
take a few hours of editing to state it better.

Okay, question and research each business opportunity you're ever
presented with.

What amazes me is that there must be some kind of "sniffer" that can
tell when you're suddenly making more money or are inheriting money. I
get more people now with investment ideas or suggestions or businesses
they need help starting now than have ever approached me before. I
just follow Nancy Reagan's advice and just say no. I've yet to regret
it and I don't have time to research all of them.

There's a big difference between an MLMer and an ex-MLMer. It's like th
difference between an alcoholic and a recovering alcoholic.
