MLMs tend to use titles in ways that are misleading. While you say you
were in a manager position, that could mean almost anything. Many of
them will use a title like that for almost everyone in the
organization.

You didn't do anything wrong. Most MLMs are set up so that the money
flows from the bottom to those on top and their structure does a lot to
make sure you don't make money until you're way at the top -- and they
don't tend to let many new people reach the top. Also, many MLMs don't
make much money on the product but make it on the business tools they
sell, in other words, the CDs, videos, books, and such that they
require people to buy.

MLMs are not designed to help people succeed, no matter what they say.
They're designed to make hose who are at the top rich at the expense of
everyone else.
